About Bianca

Hi, I’m Bianca, the voice behind Raising Primal Babies and Beasts! I’m a mom to a beautiful daughter and the proud dog mom of Evie, an Australian Cattle Dog mix, and Loki, a German Shepherd mix. My journey into ancestral health began with my dogs and deepened when I became a mom, sparking my passion for holistic, nutrient-dense living that heals and nourishes from the inside out.

The Start of My Health Journey with My Dogs

Like many pet parents, I started out feeding my dogs kibble, believing it was all they needed - because why of course would it be sold to use if it wasn’t adequate nutrition for our animals. Over time, I noticed subtle signs that something was missing—Evie had gained way too much weight even though we were feeding her ‘ healthy foods’ and due to reoccurring declaw injuries- she had round and rounds of antibiotics. After doing more research into why Evie’s symptoms were happening, I realized that kibble is the equivalent of fast food for dogs, lacking the essential nutrients they need to thrive.

Determined to give my dogs better, I began researching optimal canine nutrition. I started our journey out with Dr. Harvey’s dehydrated food after figuring I couldn’t afford premade raw. I started rotating their meals with high-quality wet foods, freeze-dried raw options, and fresh human food toppers like grass-fed meats, organ meats, and raw eggs. I also introduced healthy fats like fish oil and ghee to support their coats and joints. The transformation was incredible—Evie’s became super fit even though she was eating more food and she seemed to be aging backwards at the rip age of 9, Loki has also seemed more nourished- and both dogs seemed healthier and happier than ever.

This experience opened my eyes to the power of food as medicine, not just for humans but for our furry companions too. It inspired me to keep learning and sharing this knowledge with others who want to give their pets the best possible start in life—and the healthiest aging journey.

When My Baby Changed Everything in 2023

My commitment to health deepened when I became a mom. After an emergency c-section, I found myself navigating postpartum recovery while caring for my newborn daughter. When she developed mild eczema patches at just three months old, I knew her skin was signaling an imbalance - something was wrong and I knew it. Trusting my instincts, I began diving into research, determined to find a natural solution.

That’s when I discovered the GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) and Weston A. Price diets, rooted in ancestral wisdom and focused on restoring the gut microbiome. I learned how essential fats, broths, and fermented foods could heal from the inside out, supporting skin health, brain development, and immunity. By incorporating these principles into her diet—and my own—I began to see the eczema patches fade and be totally gone by 10 months. She also had food sensitives to multiple foods and was having reactions that merely months later she is eating with no issues. At the same time, my postpartum healing accelerated, and I felt stronger and more energized than ever before.

This journey showed me the profound connection between the microbiome and overall health, cementing my belief in traditional, nutrient-dense diets. It wasn’t just about healing symptoms—it was about building a foundation of lifelong vitality for my family.

Raising Primal Babies and Beasts

Today, I use these ancestral principles to nourish my family—including Evie and Loki—and I’m passionate about helping others do the same. Thank you for joining me on this journey. Together, we can embrace the power of ancestral healing to give ourselves—and our babies and beasts—the vibrant, healthy lives we all deserve.

“Never take no for an answer. If you think there is something wrong with a family member you are in charge of - take that and run with it. You are the head nurturer of your household - let your intuition guide you. God has provided us with all of the answers and foods we need to heal. We need to be primal once again with what we put in our bodies and give our dogs.”
